Elated
I just wanted to say how happy I am about the responses we have been getting about the show. It has been a really fun doing SPK and it seems like you guys are eating it up. I also want to take time to give credit to Brendan for making this crazy idea of mine a reality. Thanks, Brendo.

Salt Pepper Ketchup, Episode 2
Rob and Bridget Huffman sample food from Gus’s cart at 5th and South.
Check out Bridget on ABC’s Here Come the Newlyweds in 2009.
Thanks
We’ve gotten some good and useful feedback on episode one. It’s also getting passed around rather nicely, so thank you everyone for sharing it.
Episode two will go up on Tuesday at noon as promised. Bridget Huffman is the guest. She and Rob head to 5th and South to get hot dogs but Rob gets distracted by fishcakes.
The deal
Before we post Episode One I just wanted to give out a little bit of information. Rob came up with the idea to record friends eating cart food, and the name, Salt Pepper Ketchup. I thought it was a smart idea. I could see it going places. After all, everybody loves food, and people in Philadelphia love reading about places to eat in their city. I know I do.
So we decided to make it. It’s very simple and DIY. I record with a tiny Flip video camera and edit on my mac.
We are planning to do this in seasons, like shows on TV. The first season will have eight shows. They’ll come out on Tuesdays at noon. Please do not become too cross if this schedule is not adhered to with unshakeable constancy. You will be happy to know that the first four episodes are recorded and will be out on time.
If we are all lucky, in between shows, Rob might blog about his experiences eating food throughout the week and related musings. But we’ll all have to ask nicely.
Episode one debuts tomorrow at noon
Ok, so the final edits have been made, the expensive lighting and camera equipment has been taken down, the cast and crew have had a tearful goodbye, and EPISODE ONE IS READY TO GO.
We will be putting it online tomorrow, Tuesday the 14 of April, at noon. That’s 12:00 pm.
Please come back, share with family, friends, and elected officials, and tell us what you think.
Hello and welcome!
Welcome to Salt Pepper Ketchup.
SPK is an Internet show about eating cart food in Philadelphia.
We are getting ready to go live with episode one, and are super excited. Here is the teaser trailer that we put out a while ago:
Stay tuned for more info about Rob and me (Brendan) and the air date for episode one. We are sure that each episode of Salt Pepper Ketchup will entertain you for at least a few minutes of your busy Internet day.
