Excellent work gentlemen! I see the SPK theme song as the hit of the summer ‘09. Is there no grading of the cart though? How am I to know which carts to frequent and which to avoid?
Rob and Brendan, it was excellent, and very informative. I have to say, my favorite part was the theme song at the end. Where can I download that song for $0.99?? Or better yet, where can I steal that online?
I can’t wait to take you to my favorite vendor in Philly. I believe that this is a very important thing you two are doing.
Now I want an egg and cheese from my vendor over here in Camden, NJ. It’s so good. They also offer a grilled cheese with apple slices that I am dying to try. Let me know if you ever want to travel a bit and go gourmet!
I love Philly. I love food. I love cheap food. And now, I love your blog/video/glasses (Rob.) I am going to bookmark it on my computer and tell all of my friends.
Just awesome. Found you via the link off menupages. Hope to see many more episodes. How are the burgers at that cart? Will they sell you a burger in the morning? Egg+burger+cheese+ketchup+long roll=perfect way to start the day.
You look like David Cross. I like this blog series, I just think you need to invest in a boom mic or something to make the audio more bearable. Looking forward to more!
Loved the first video! I live around the corner from that very cart.
I used to frequent the cart at Broad and Spruce for the bacon/egg/cheese, and now always buy from the guy on 8th and Market (he’s the only one there at zix in the morning when I catch the train to work).
You should do a mention on greasecart coffee at some point. Cheap, hot, and way too sweet.
Try tacos at Tacos Don Memo’s on 38th and Walnut. There’s also a falafel truck on the NE corner of 20th and Market that’s fairly well regarded. If you need a scientist co-host, I’m your man.
Agree with some of those comments. Bui’s by far is the best breakfast sandwich cart. if you need to check out food trucks, university city is the best too. they have the most diversity that goes beyond breakfast, cheesesteaks, and hot dogs. i can’t begin to name them all…
Bui’s. 38th and Spruce St. The BEST bacon egg cheese.
Enjoyed the first episode though the audio levels need some tweaking.
Bui’s rocks, got me through many a hangover… Mexicali every time though!
PS: Boys, how about some international guesting when I get over in June?

Thanks for the feedback y’all.
Josh–working on improving audio. I need to spend more time randomly adjusting settings until I stumble onto the right output.
Mark–we will definitely have you on. Americans love your posh accent.
Natalie–I’m working on a downloadable version of the theme song, stay tuned.
Really thought this was good and very professional. My mouth was watering for one of those sandwiches. I want to be a guest glutton soon.

Keep posting and stay cool.
Great work, can’t wait for some future episodes. Sweet end song.
I think I have seen the dude with the glasses somewhere else though….’

My favorite breakfast cart is on Broad and Arch. Cheap, tasty and friendly guy too.

now in boston, I miss food carts
Nothing like a little death metal with breakfast!

Hi Guys –
Congrats on the first episode.
I just wrote a post on our blog, http://vendr.tv/blog/salt-pepper-ketchup/, and I’ll be sure to Tweet about it.
Keep up the great work. If we can help you guys, don’t hesitate to ask!
Cheers.

BRILLIANT. Now I’m hungry. If you over do just carts, and decide to move on to cheesesteak places, hit me up, as I have many good suggestions.

Awesome! You should hit the falafel cart on 16th & JFK!
